Self stamped/addressed envelope or prepaid courier (FEDEX, DHL, UPS, etc.) for the return of the documentation.
Name of resort/hotel where the wedding will be celebrated, date of the wedding, name of Wedding Coordinator.
Your witnesses information is not to be included since it doesn't have to be translated, nor certified. If needed, resorts can provide the witnesses.
Do not have your documents dated earlier than three months before the wedding. Most legal documents have a limited validity. Apostilled birth certificates and, if applicable, divorce decrees, do not expire. Those can be obtained at anytime.
You do not need to obtain a Marriage License, all weddings officiated in the Dominican Republic are legal and valid worldwide. After the wedding, the resort will deliver your official marriage certificate to your home address.
After receiving your documents we proceed to carefully verify and translate them. Our translations are signed, notarized, and apostilled. We make sure everything will meet the requirements.
When the process is completed, documents will be sent back to you in the provided return envelope*. You can scan or fax your documents to the resort prior to your arrival, all originals are to be brought with you when traveling to your destination wedding.
Personal information is handled with utmost privacy and will not be used for any other purpose.
European/Eastern Europe couples, will scan their documents for us. Legal translations will be sent directly to the resort prior to the couple’s arrival. Must bring all original documents when traveling to your destination wedding.
Apostilles are required to be citizens of all countries members of the Hague Convention. They are issued by your Secretary of State Office/Foreign Ministry/Foreign Commonwealth Office. The Dominican Republic is part of the Hague Convention. Your official documents, like birth certificates, divorce decrees, etc., are to be apostilled. Also, please obtain an apostille for the Notary’s signature on your Single Status Declarations.

Obtaining an apostille is simple and fast, an apostille is an authentication issued on official documents in order to ensure their international validity. It is issued as an attachment to the original document. It is not the raised seal on some original documents.
